What should I bring?
A
fishing license
, weather appropriate clothing, and that’s about it! Our guides will provide rods and
flies when necessary, water and lunch. Of course you’re welcome to bring along your equipment as
well.
What waters do you float?
Upper North Platte River
(near Saratoga)
Encampment River
(near Encampent/Saratoga)
Miracle Mile
(Between Seminoe and Pathfinder reservoirs)
Grey Reef
(near Alcova/Casper)
How long is the trip?
Full day float trips last about 8 hours (on the water) not including driving time. Some sections require
substantial driving.
What time do we start?
Start times vary depending on time of year. Your guide will be in touch to work out the best meeting
location and starting time.
What waters do you normally walk and wade?
Typically we don't the river is challenging to wade and we feel the majority of anglers benefit from being in a boat with their guide.
What should I expect from my guide?
A passion to fish, patience, a clean vehicle and boat, pleasant guide disposition, willingness to instruct
and extensive knowledge of the North Platte River.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes! You will need to purchase a fishing license before fishing in the state of Wyoming. Get

Do you have any certifications?
All of our guides are fully insured, permitted, and CPR/First Aid certified.
What’s for lunch?
Typically an assortment of cold cut sandwiches, chips and drinks is provided, but special
arrangements can be made upon request.
Do you gurantee fish?
Absolutely not! While most of our guest enjoy a high success rate. We have no idea what your ability level is. Nor your ability to accept instruction.
How many Fish can we keep?
We promote catch and release practices. No fish will be kept on any trip.
